Why are you getting married now? After 10 years.....?

He says: "As is generally known, I need longer for important decisions, (horoscope-related - scales) than the other signs of the zodiac : -).

I don't want to say that I was waiting for a late decision, but................ everything has to mature, a good wine as well as a good relationship.

I wanted to experience ups and downs with Anita, wait for her reactions, recognize her feelings and character traits, see what it's like to live together, to be together on vacation.

After 10 years of testing and not being on my "positive list", it's finally time to take the next step.

She says: "I didn't really want to get married anymore. The proposal came completely unexpectedly and was so romantic... I just had to say "yes". .... and it feels "right", we've been looking for a long time and now we've been testing ourselves for a long time - Conclusion: We belong together and want to stay together forever.

How was the proposal?

He says: "I had planned this step a long time ago, at least 3-4 years before. But the timing was never perfect.

There were too many people at REWE, in Egypt it was too windy, in Istanbul we were at the time of the sacrificial feast, at the concerts in Munich it was too noisy, at home there was no suitable opportunity and so on.

I knew, of course, that Anita would like to be asked after the long time I have been asking her. Well, since I've been thinking  I had chosen the famous stalling tactics. 

Then came the moment when Anita didn't expect it.

For the first time after a long time we were on holiday again in a beautiful place in Italy with gigantic views from the pool to the lake and the lights of the city.

Then I knew it was right now.

In the evening, while Anita was putting Amelie to bed, I had shaped candles into a heart on the terrace and lighted them, prepared a good Italian red wine and prepared myself in the appropriate outfit to finally submit her application. As you know, I take a lot of time out of my time, I have of course also here very far away and talked about our past and future. Feeling hours!!!!!

My aim was to surprise Anita, the candles, the red wine, the outfit, the whole ambience should not immediately lead her to the presumption of a marriage proposal.

After I had pulled all the distraction tactics out of my register, I kneeling before her and asked her if she could imagine the future with me and would like to be my wife.

She was completely surprised and could not believe at first glance what was going to happen. She said,"YES."

Since she seemed to be so fond of her and I was probably on the right track with my stalling (ten years) and distracting tactics (felt, hours-long conversation about us), she wanted to ask her again at least three times that night if she wanted to be my wife.

Again and again the answer to these questions was "YES".

So I can be sure that it will stay with the YES later?

She says: "It was very romantic - almost like in a movie.

We were on holiday in August 2016 at Lake Garda, in a beautiful villa owned by a friend of ours. On the evening of 18.08.16 I was already sitting on the couch in front of the TV, Amélie was finally asleep, Simon suddenly came in from outside in his suit and told me to come out... it would be such a beautiful evening sky outside. Since he was dressed so nicely, I quickly threw myself into a dress and then we sat on the terrace with wine and music, the stars above us and the lake with the lights of the cities below us. We talked about what we had already mastered - and suddenly he went to his knees and asked me if I wanted to be his wife! I couldn't believe it at first... and therefore I was speechless at the first moment... until I said "YES", of course.  

Because it was such a nice feeling, I asked him three times that night to ask me again! ... and I could say "yes" three more times!

Why do you marry in the Czech Republic?

He says: Because I am a Czech too. 👍😜

That was my first answer................ but that doesn't explain everything, of course, so my further explanation.

I thought that a wedding is a wonderful occasion to celebrate with all this great day.

However, all locations in our surroundings did not correspond to the framework we had in mind.

Either the locations were occupied, too small, too big, or they didn't offer the possibilities in good or bad weather at the same time. Since a wedding also requires a lot of preparation and the time spent with the guests is relatively short, we decided to extend the celebration to two days.  

Then we started looking for locations in the Czech Republic, because we needed a place for a party with overnight stay. The selection in Germany has been quite limited here.

After visiting several locations, we found our AMBIENTE for our YES word and the celebration in Liblice Castle. 

She says: "The more locations we looked at in Germany, the more we realized that we didn't actually get what we wanted. We definitely wanted a location with a hotel so that the children and guests could stay overnight from far away. We wanted a super nice weather solution for the wedding ceremony but also a nice bad weather solution. Finally, we agreed that we wanted to have as little stress as possible on this day.

So we came up with the idea to sit together with our guests on Friday, to have time to talk, play, sing or whatever comes into our mind.

To get married on Saturday then romantic, to have a big party afterwards and to finish this special weekend together on Sunday. However, this was difficult to realize in Germany.

That's why we went on a search in the Czech Republic... we looked at some things there and were so enthusiastic about Castle Liblice that we decided to marry there.

Even without our wedding the castle is absolutely magical and with wedding even more.

It offers everything we have wished for... food, marriage, celebrations, overnight stay... and all this in a magical place.

Prague is only 40 km from Liblice Castle, one of the most beautiful cities in Europe and always worth a visit. If you haven't seen Prague (or want to see it again), you should extend the trip by 1 - 2 days and have a look at it.

So we hope that all our guests will take the further journey to celebrate with us.

We are looking forward to a wonderful weekend and an enchanting wedding with all our favorite people.
